Information:

How to get there:
A good point of reference is the village Dalen in Telemark. Drive north on Hwy. 38, take Hwy. 3408, sharp left after a few kilometer. About 2.2 kilometer after the sharp left turn, turn right onto a small, dirt road named Åsgrendvegen. After a few kilometer, this road becomes a toll road, pay NOK 40, (2023), can be done by Vipps to 514897. Continue along this road to location N59.507494, E007.872938, elevation about 655 meter. There is parking for a couple of cars off the road on your left hand side.
Route:
Head across the road and more or less directly uphill. There are meadows and clearings that may be followed. Close to the creek that is coming down in this area, you may also come across and old tractor track (used when logging) that ascends uphill. The terrain is generally quite easy to walk. The key to a good route is to get onto the ridge that runs uphill to the small local top named Turkuppnuten. In order to get there, one needs to move a bit left of the direct uphill line.
As soon as you are on the correct ridge, proceed uphill along this ridge, all the way to the summit. There is a slightly steeper section just after Turkuppnuten, however no problems when ascending up along a grassy line.
Comments:
Heidi and I were driving to visit our granddaughter in Oslo. We decided to break the trip into 2 days and stay one night at the historic Hotel Dalen. The plan was to visit this peak in the morning before the last 3 hour drive to Oslo. However, the forecast changed and said rain that day, while ok on Tuesday. We left Bergen a bit earlier than originally planned, leaving time for an afternoon ascent.
I left the car at 1410 and headed more or less straight uphill. Without a prior (careful) look at the map, I had failed to notice the valley on the west side of the peak. I ended up on the wrong side and had to descend a bit in order to cross to the correct side. This was not any big delay and created an overall nice round-trip. I arrived at the summit at 1520 and left by 1530. I then took a more direct route back down to the car completing the trip by 1620.
